A new home for Compusafe in Sugar City

Starting the first of March Compusafe B.V. and Voordeelbundel.nl move into a office inside one of the sugar silos. Compusafe is specialized in securing computers, computer systems and networks.
Voordeelbundel.nl is the first Dutch company which is mainly focused on selling TV and internet bundles from different cable companies.

Photoshoot MEN_at_WORK

MEN_at_WORK arranged a photoshoot on the Sugar City property. The shoot was for one of their brands, 8mm and the ‘stockroom’ on the Haarlemmerstraatweg at Halfweg was used as a set.
They chose this location because of the rough and robust exterior of the building. 8mm sells a clothing line for both men and women.

Luigi Prins wins prestigious award for Sugar City

During the exclusive Mossel Gala on the Oranjeweitje in Blaricum, Lesley Bamberger handed out the Mossel Award to the most successful property developer: Luigi Prins, owner of Cobraspen Property development.

He deserved this title because of his project ‘Sugar City’, the re-development of the former CSM-sugar factory in Halfweg and his active entrepreneurship in real-estate. Dik Wessels from Reggeborgh Beheer was the runner-up for the title. The gala was organized by Regus, the world’s largest provider of workplace solutions.

The jury chose the nominees on basis of five criteria, Fun, Flexible, Fair, Focused and Fast Moving. Prior to the gala, the people in the real-estate world gave their vote to Luigi Prins on the internet.

Information market in silos organised by the congregation Haarlemmerliede and Spaarnwoude

The gathering of the congregation Haarlemmerliede and Spaarnwoude at SugarCity on November 24th is completely dedicated to the future of the community. The city council will state the vision for the future. This decree will decide the direction of the community until 2035. Persons present will be able to spread their vision during the information market to the available political parties.
As SugarCity is located in the middle of this community, there was no doubt to use this special location for the gathering. Not only enough space is available for the information market and congregation meetings, it is also a perfect starting point for neighbours to see what exactly takes place in the silos and how the inside of the historical silos look like as office spaces.

Freemz to Sugarsilo-West

From March 2010 the western silo of SugarCity will have a new tennant. Freemz, a creative audiovisual production bureau, will occupy a floor in the unique office buildings. The Sugarcity area is being developed by Luigi Prins' Cobraspen. Freemz works for companies like Rijkswaterstaat, Unicef, Veilig Verkeer Nederland and the Hartstichting. More information?
